Mini Dragons

Mini Dragons are the Junior section of Mynydd Du fell running club. We aim to get young people and parents out on the hills running, having fun and meeting like minded children and adults in a safe environment.

Key Information!

1 Membership

We ask that all children that attend the mini dragons have a membership form completed on their behalf by a parent/guardian. This includes a £5 annual fee for each child. Please see the membership page for the form.

2 Parents are responsible for their own children

We do not take any responsibility for any children except our own. By joining the Mini Dragons group you are agreeing to this and understand that ultimately your child/children are your responsibility

3 Equipment

We can provide some equipment for the minis (head torch, waistpack etc) but we ask that each child has enough water, layers of clothing, a snack and most importantly the correct trail/fell footwear.

4 Behaviour

Each child needs to be kind and respectful not only to other members, but to the environment and others using it. We will not tolerate any unkind or destructive behaviour.

5 Listening to the coaches

With 30 minis running around on a mountain in all weathers, we would ask that parents help encourage their children to listen to the coaches as generally it is important and regards their safety.

6 Keep up parents!

Parents need to wear/carry the correct clothing (please wear trail/fell shoes). It is essential that parents are able to keep up with and negotiate the terrain safely to be with their minis.

7 Covid Rules and Regs

Currently we live in a world where we need to adhere to restrictions regarding Covid 19 and therefore we ask all members to ensure that they read the Covid rules for the club and stick to them.
